Israeli Defense Forces' Inability to Contain Intifada III

Zionist regime's defence minister says Operation Defensive Shield has been a futile plan.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Emphasizing the Israeli defense forces' inability to control Intifada III, Israeli Defence Minister Moshe Ya'alon, said there is no need for Israel to log in to the defense shield 2 plan; as "street protests in the West Bank will annihilate our regime."

According to the Tel Aviv Times, Moshe Ya'alon said, "We have taken several steps, the first of which was adding reinforcement and equipment to soldiers conducting defensive actions such as vehicle inspection in main routes leading to Palestinian villages so that no vehicle can enter Israeli settled territories without inspection. Unfortunately their actions and protests do not end and we fail to deal with them."

Later, Ya'alon said security forces must use all the tools of violence in this way.

He also added, "I have heard some believe that it is better to implement Operation Defensive Shield 2 in the West Bank", but after Operation Defensive Shield, officials realize how futile the plan has been. Most attacks from protesters take place individually and under present conditions, forces launch reciprocal operations every night.

Yaalon added that it is unknown what happens at the end of this wave of protests, "not only in this place, but throughout the West Bank and all of Israel."
