Celebrities are known by the brands they promote, but a star’s private life can negatively affects the products that they sell

(MADRID, Spain) - Penelope Cruz’s pregnancy has called the world’s attention. On that note, an ad campaign launched by a cosmetic multinational is ongoing showing off the actress’ face. It is possible that the birth place of the newborn will be the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center of Beverly Hills, hospital where famous celebrities such as Jodie Foster, Julia Roberts and Salma Hayek have given birth. Javier Barden and Penelope Cruz are awaiting the culmination of their marriage and lives: becoming parents.

Sport stars such as David Beckham are classified as one of the most popular celebrities for both their businesses and wealth. Roger Federer is considered one of the most sophisticated tennis players. Leo Messi is a soccer star whose paycheck adds up to more than his team’s combined. Cristiano Ronaldo is also among the most popular soccer stars.

The ice skating superstar Kim Yu-Na is the most paid athlete on the planet; the South Korean celebrity sells for an auto company, as well as for a sports clothing multinational.

The Colombian star for solidarity, Shakira, has named a perfume after herself, while super model Noemi Campbell has been given an award due to her influence within the fashion industry.

The famous English sports commentator, Michael Robinson, is the interpreter for a refreshing beverage ad campaign. Soccer player Michael Owen and actress Deepika Padukone are both the new promoters of a Swiss watch.

According to British newspapers, the Manchester United forward, Wayne Rooney, has been accompanied by infamous women to public events while his wife is at home pregnant with his child. The beverage multinational that stipulated a contract with the soccer star, has cancelled it due to his unfaithful behavior.

Celebrities can be known by the brands they promote. It is thought that a star’s naughty private life negatively affects the products that they sell, thereby decreasing the market positioning of the product. This is the case for Rooney, who has been punished by the cancelation of his former contract.
