Salem Police Seek Help Finding Stolen Tricycle

This trike was stolen in Salem from a handicapped man who used it to collect cans and pick up garbage. Contact Salem Police if you know where it ended up or who took it.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The Salem Police Department is seeking the help of the public in locating an adult tricycle, yellow in color, that was stolen from a handicapped man in the area of 12th and Commercial Street SE.

Police say the trike had been parked in a garage when it was taken. The owner of the trike used it daily to collect cans and pick up garbage, according to Salem Police Lt. Dave Okada.

"He is heartbroken by the loss of his pride and joy. It was taken sometime between 9:00 PM on Monday and 12:00 noon on Tuesday."

Okada says the tricycle is a full size adult model, yellow in color, chrome handlebars and front fender, white wall tires, and a wire basket behind the seat.
