Sheriff’s Office Seeking Inmate who Walked Away From Work Release Center

Julie Ann Burlison was serving a 35-day jail sentence for extortion and violating a restraining order.

(SALEM) - The Marion County Sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help in locating an inmate that walked away from the Marion County Work Release Center.

Deputies are looking for 30-year-old Julie Ann Burlison who was reported absent without leave just after 5:00 PM Friday sheriff’s office spokesman Kevin Rau said.

Rau says it appears that Burlison left the center at 7:00 AM on a pass to go to an 8:00 AM dental appointment and did not report back in the afternoon.

Burlison was serving a 35-day jail sentence for extortion and violating a restraining order.
