(Salem) - Law Enforcement for Youth, a local 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance to low income, at-risk and medically challenged youth, will be holding a charity concert to raise funds for their programs next month. Law Enforcement for Youth Executive Director Steve Polanski says Flannery is a noted musician who has performed though out the Portland area and is about to release his first CD which was recorded in both Hollywood and Portland. His style can be compared to the Dave Mathews band. The concert will take place on Thursday, March 9th, at The Ike Box, 299 Cottage Street in Salem. Doors will open at 6:45 PM, and the concert will start at 7:00 PM. Tickets are on pre-sale for $10, or $12 at the door. Seating is limited. For pre-sale tickets contact info@lawenforcementforyouth.com. The formation of Law Enforcement for Youth has allowed for the expansion of new fundraising activities, including golf and basketball tournaments, auctions, educational seminars, dances and concerts. Polanski says the funds raised are used to establish grant programs. Grants are made available to at-risk, low income, and medically challenged youth and programs that serve them. Individuals can apply for mini grants to assist in the expense of participation fees for youth activities and youth organizations can apply for project grants to aid in specific youth programs.
