(BEAVERTON, Ore.) - Beaverton Police officers say they stopped a vehicle near SW Hall Boulevard and SW Greenway for expired license plate tags and no proof of insurance last night just before 7:00 PM.

Sgt. Paul Wandell with Beaverton Police says the officers contacted the driver, who was identified as 24-year old Michael Douglas Ceja of Beaverton.

"Upon initial contact with Ceja, officers immediately smelled a very strong odor of marijuana," Wandell said. During a search of the vehicle, officers say they located a small bottle of liquid that was shown to be steroids. Officers also located individually packaged syringes and empty bottles, which according to their labels, had previously contained steroids. Ceja's vehicle was impounded due to lack of insurance and he was lodged at the Washington County Jail on charges of Possession of Steroids, Schedule III.
