On Saturday shortly after midnight, 46-year-old Lee James Gadinas, the city's finance director since 2005, failed to stop and continued to his home in Waldport, where he fled inside, said Deputy Lance Cummings.

Deputies took Gadinas into custody at his house.

Gadinas was charged with DUII, Attempting to Elude, Driving with a suspended license, Refusal to provide a breath sample, Failure to use his turn signal and Failure to drive within his lane.

He is being held in the Lincoln County jail.

Bail is set at $22,500
