(CORVALLIS, Ore.) - Corvallis Police officers stopped a vehicle Friday driven by Marcus A. Kell in the 400 block of SW Madison Avenue after a witness reported Kell had a handgun concealed in his pants at a downtown Corvallis bar.

As the officers contacted Kell around 2:35 AM, they recognized an odor of marijuana inside the vehicle. Kell allowed officers to retrieve the weapon and they located a Ruger brand, semi automatic handgun under the driver seat.

A spokesman for Corvallis Police says officers applied for, obtained, and executed a search warrant based upon probable cause drugs were inside the vehicle. Officers located, and seized, over an ounce of marijuana, two scales, scissors, and more than $900 in cash.

22-year old Marcus Alan Kell of Salem was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and Unlawful Delivery of Marijuana.

Anyone with additional information regarding this case is encouraged to call Officer Ryan Larson at (541)766-6924.
