(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Detectives from the Clackamas County Sheriffs' Office are currently investigating a death within the jail. Detective Jeffrey Green with the Clackamas Sheriff says the death appears to be non-criminal in nature. The Sheriff's Office has now released the name of the person found deceased in the Clackamas County Jail. 51-year old Brian Truman Hebener was found dead in a cell, alone, at about 7:30 PM on Sunday. They say Hebener had been arrested for Criminal Trespass II and Harassment by the Oregon City Police Department. It is reported that Hebener was intoxicated at the time he was lodged and was being held until he was no longer intoxicated. He was brought to the jail at about 6:20 PM. The jail was put into lockdown after Mr. Hebener's death came to the attention of officials, which is standard procedure for the facility with this type of incident. The manner and cause of death will be released later after the investigation is completed, he said. Any deaths that occur within the Clackamas County Jail facility are investigated by detectives. This is the practice and policy of the department. There is not any further information to be released at this time, Green added.
