(COLOMBO, Sri Lanka Colombo TamilNet) - Sri Lanka’s Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) has sent summons to Tamil National People’s Front (TNPF) President, Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam, asking him to be present at its investigating office in Colombo on Saturday for inquiries. The summon note, entirely in Sinhala language, was served at Gajendrakumar’s residence in Colombo by a TID officer on Thursday afternoon. Mr. Gajendrakumar is currently outside of the island, informed sources told TamilNet. Meanwhile, notices in Sinhala and English, viciously implicating TNPF Secretary and former TNA parliamentarian, Selvaraja Kajendran as one of the key persons behind the ‘pro-LTTE and TNA/ TNPF network’ in the Jaffna University, is being circulated in the south of the island. The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) parliamentarian, Mr. Saravanabhavan is also implicated along with Kajendran in the notices circulated, alleging that both are in contact with the ‘Tiger diaspora’ and they try to recreate the LTTE. The notices in English were painting a picture of the ‘organisation links’ through a chart produced in them and the text in Sinhala, citing the chart, was levelling allegations against Kajendran and Saravanabhavan. Sri Lanka’s Terrorist Investigation Division directly gets orders from SL Defence Secretary and presidential sibling Gotabhaya Rajapaksa. Terrorist investigation summons were recently sent to the Bishop of Mannaar, who from SL government records had brought to light the number of civilians missing in the war, students of the University of Jaffna, who recently undertook peaceful observation of the Heroes Day and democratically protested the SL military atrocities on the students, and the President of the Jaffna University Teachers’ Association, whose trade union expressed solidarity with the students.

The editor may think that only his laws are ones that need to be adhered to however we the citizens of sri lanka who actually live in the country and have a stake in our country's future are happy with our laws. It is only an ignorant white man such as you that will look down on the laws of another country especially if its a country where colored folks live. Sri Lanka has been way more progressive in many aspects that even most western countries.. Has your contry ever even had a female president? Not too long ago blacks could not even sit with whites.. are these the great traditions and laws that the editor keeps referring to.. By the way editor.. you can keep writing but you have NO POWER to do anything. My question to you is what can you do to make a change in sri lanka - the answer to that is NOTHING!! You should also request to be a guest editor for Tamilnet. They will love you a brainwashed looser who keeps begging for donations to keep you afloat. The diaspora will keep making a few donations so that you can spread lies and defame a nation... Happy New Year and may you have much success begging for donations...
Editor: You do yourself far more harm than good since SL is bent on Genociding the Tamils. Blacks were freed from slavery in the 1860's, your country is not advanced, its inhabitants have a tendency to act barbaric and racist. However this is not a slam on Sinhala people, I have many Sinhalese friends who agree that what happened to the Tamils is terrible series of crimes.

Not really a newsworthy article. If summons were issued it appears to have been done in accordance with the laws of the country.
Editor: The laws of Sri Lanka? Please, you are nearly comical.
