(CORVALLIS, Ore.) - Police in Corvallis say that between August 25th, 2007 and October 23rd, 2007, seven local residents were victims of residential burglary.

In each burglary, the victims were home during the commission of the crime and each time the suspect entered through unlocked doors and windows.

Members of the Corvallis Police Department, Benton County Sheriff's Office Street Crimes Unit, investigated the crimes and linked them all to one man, Bruce A. Sitton, who is a registered sex-offender.

Lieutenant Tim Brewer with Corvallis Police says Sitton was arrested on December 14th by SCU detectives. A search warrant was served at his Albany home earlier this month, and evidence linking him to the Corvallis burglaries was discovered.

Sitton was previously convicted in Polk County in 2000 and Benton County in 2001, for a series of burglaries in which he attempted to sexually assault some of his victims. He served five years in prison and was released in 2006. He has been on post-prison supervision since his release.

During the seven Corvallis burglaries Sitton stands accused of, occupied residences and bedrooms were entered. In some cases, the victims were touched in a sexual manner.

None of the victims were physically injured. Several items of clothing and other personal property were stolen during in the burglaries and later recovered inside Sitton's home. Sitton, an Albany resident, is currently lodged in the Linn County Jail.

OUTRAGED!!! For those assaults he will only serve 16 months. Where is the justice in that. Some of the victims were notified that a deal was made. What about his past? Present? His future we already know he’ll do it again. Please let’s find a way to stop this.

Cure for pervert felons: &^%$##@@$%^&&&* Learn how to use it. Get your CHL! Note: Statistically those with CHL's have a lower crime rate than law enforcement personnel which turns the Brady bunch scaremonger's statements about gun control and crime upside down. In addition all those area's that have CHL's have a significantly lower crime rate including gun crime! Look at Washington DC (gun ownership is illegal, at this time) and compare it with say Portland's CHL gun crime rate. Or even in Vermont where you don't need a license to carry concealed. In Utah carrying guns in the schools is legal, no shootings in their schools! Assault weapons are a myth! We already have laws against all automatic weapons since the 30's unless one gets a special permit. Semi-automatic weapons are legal (many called assault weapons based on bs), and should continue, for the criminals will always be well armed regardless of any law, any law! P.S. Gun crime for Oregon's CHL's is statistically nil! What should be controlled is not the 2nd Amendment but the 1st Amendment of people who own media sources that intentionally mislead the public. Hee haw (that was for you Henry).

Editor: Do not suggest illegal acts here, do not suggest how vigilante acts should be carried out here. This is not allowed.
