(SALEM) - The upcoming winter break is a great time to get children in for their vaccinations. Lines are short and making an appointment is easy. Waiting until exclusion orders are issued makes it difficult to get children in for vaccinations. Keep kids in school and save time by getting children vaccinated today. Children without completed immunization records will be excluded from attendance at schools and day care facilities on February 21st, 2007. Immunizations may be obtained from private health care providers or by calling the Marion County Health Department to schedule an appointment. My uncle has recently gotten a flu vaccine and has had more complications thatn what the flu vaccine was suppose to protect him from in the first place. He would have rather have gotten the flu than have gotten the reaction he got from the vaccine! By the way he asked me to post this link to help out anyone else who happens to suffer from this, people who think that they have been injured by the flu shot can file a claim for compensation from the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP):http://www.hrsa.gov/vaccinecompensation/
