(SALEM, Ore.) - Produced by The Park Avenue Worldwide Group, this is a new staging of the musical Peter Pan that features the music and lyrics of Broadway legends Jule Styne, Carolyn Leigh, Mark Charlap and Betty Comden and Adolph Green. Starring in this production will be Brooke Stone as Peter. Brooke was recently seen in Hairspray, The Beauty and Beast and Grease. Also appearing onstage will be Gary Kimble as Cap’t Hook. Kimble has delighted audiences nationwide with his performances in 42nd Street, The Music Man, The Rothschilds and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. His performance as Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady won rave reviews awards both in America and in Asia. This beloved family musical will visit more than fifty cities between October 2007 and March 2008 and features a cast of 24 and, of course, the wonderful flying scenes that have become a hallmark of this story. Story continues below Based on the writings of James Barrie, the musical was first produced for the wonderful Mary Martin and has since become legendary for its appeal to both adults and children. The story of the boy “who won’t grow up”, Peter Pan is filled with people that fly like birds and animals that behave like people. Peter Pan will be performed twice at the Elsinore Theatre on Sunday, January 20th. Tickets are $35 - $5 and available at the Theatre (503-375-3574) and all TicketsWest locations.
