(SALEM) - The Oregon Department of Human Services has named Vic Todd of Salem as administrator of the Office of Self Sufficiency. The Office of Self Sufficiency programs include Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, food stamps, childcare, JOBS program, teen pregnancy prevention, Medicaid policy, and refugee services. The office is part of the Children, Adults and Families Division (CAFD). Todd has been with DHS for more than 20 years and has held a number of other management and budget analysis positions in the agency, including budget development and fiscal analysis manager for what is now the agency's self-sufficiency area. "With the passage of the Deficit Reduction Act, he brings the additional expertise we need to reassess our current way of delivering self sufficiency services and to redesign our program as necessary," said Ramona Foley, assistant director, CAFD. "His extensive human services policy experience at both the federal and state levels is invaluable to the work we are doing." Todd holds a bachelor's degree in financial planning and control and a master's in business administration, both from Oregon State University.
