America Goes to Great Lengths to Placate IsraelJoe Clifford Salem-News.com
Israel has an illegal nuclear arsenal.
(JAMESTOWN, RI) - Twice last week the US took positions completely contrary to the rest of the world, thereby endangering your life. The first anti-world position culminated this week, but began in 2010 when the member states of the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty approved a conference to be held in 2012, with the goal of creating a Nuclear Free Middle East. Good idea; you bet!!
Every Middle East member nation agreed to attend, including Iran. All 189 member states of the NPT treaty approved the call for the 2012 meeting, including the US.
Last week the US arbitrarily cancelled the meeting, that every member state, including the US, wanted. Needles to say, the arbitrary action of the US, in defiance of 188 member nations, is generating much anti- American feeling.
So pretty much the entire world had voted to have this conference, but the US, all by itself just cancelled it.
Why? to protect Israel yet again with its illegal nuclear arsenal.
The second anti world position last week was the vote by the US not to recognize Palestine as a state. Despite all the rhetoric of freedom and democracy, the US voted against a resolution that recognized Palestine as a state. Is there any logical reason why a nation who prides itself in freedom, democracy and the right to self determination, would take the hypocritical position of voting against a resolution which would foster the development of a free state? Of course not; so why did the US vote against statehood for another country? It was done for no other reason except to placate Israel's desire to maintain the largest prison planet on earth, which is Gaza and to protect Israeli leaders from war crimes charges. Now that Palestine has the elevated status in the UN, it might serve to get them membership in the International Court, and as such they could initiate war crimes against Israeli leaders. The resolution was supported by 138 nations with only 9 voting against, with the 9 representing a small group the US was able to strong arm. Both recent actions by your government, put you at serious risk. In 1993 the WTC was attacked for the first time, and the perpetrators left a message stating they attacked because of our one sided policy in the Middle East regarding Israel and Palestine. They failed in their attempt, but warned they would try again if the US did not change its one sided position. On 9/11 they returned.
Since 9/11, every terrorist act against the US has been followed by either a written or audio message stating the reason for the attacks. It is, and has always been, because of our one sided support of Israel and our participation in the subjugation of the people of Palestine. This position is contrary to everything the US stands for, but it is done to placate Israel, and in so doing, jeopardize the lives of innocent American citizens.
So your government regards your life and safety as less important than placating Israel. It is no wonder the former hero, David Petraeus, said: Israel is not a strategic asset, but a strategic liability for the US. Then again he is gone now isn't he?
