Warming Shelters in the Salem Area

Includes a number of other facilities in the Salem area that people can utilize to stay safe and out of the cold.

(SALEM) - The City of Salem announced two locations were available as warming centers until 9 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2013. We mistakenly published this information after the shelter closed and apologize for the error. The two locations are:

* Salem Public Library, 585 Liberty Street SE

* Center 50+, 2615 Portland Road NE

In addition, the Union Gospel Mission has announced it will not turn away anyone who is seeking shelter.

Most Salem area malls can be utilized as warming locations.

Additional possible Shelter Locations are as follows:
