(CANBY, Ore.) - The Clackamas County Deputy Medical Examiner has identified a deceased 20-year old man whose body was recovered by his father in Gribble Creek, along South Lone Elder Road, in Canby. He is identified as Joshua Wiley Carver, whose address was listed with a residential family address in Hubbard. He had prior residential addresses listed in Milwaukie and West Linn. Detective Jim Strovink with the Clackamas Sheriff's Office says Joshua Carver's body was discovered by his father, 46-year old Kenneth Boyd Carver, Tuesday afternoon, partially submerged in the water. The location was near a large produce farm with multiple out-buildings, recreational vehicle storage areas and farm-laborer living quarters. It had been the scene of a police chase earlier in the day. "This deceased male subject was located by his father in this creek; while holding on to to his deceased son in this body of water, the father summoned authorities to the scene by phone," Strovink said. This recovered stolen vehicle, a blue and white 1985 Dodge pick-up truck , was last seen turning onto a rural driveway in the vicinity of the body recovery. This stolen vehicle was recovered, unoccupied, with both the passenger door and driver's door open. Strovink says dispatchers first heard about the father's connection at 10:05 AM Tuesday morning. He called the Clackamas County Dispatch Center Strovink says, "sounding very distraught while revealing his son was missing. This father explained his son (deceased) may have gone into the water after fleeing from this vehicle earlier this morning. This reporting father went on to explain to dispatchers that he last saw his son partying last evening in Molalla -- and was last observed as a passenger in a blue and white pick-up truck." It is a sad end for a young life. The body of Joshua Wiley Carver was transported from the scene by the Clackamas County Deputy Medical Examiner and a forensic examination is pending. The Sheriff's Office is requesting anyone who has additional information pertaining to this recovered stolen vehicle and death investigation to please contact the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Tip Line at 503) 723-4949.
