The Will to Win

We the people, by following Justice Robert’s lead, should retain our Secular Government as the Founders intended it ought always to be.

(PASO ROBLES, CA) - The GOP’s purpose is to deny Barack Obama a second term, and what its Congressional members refuse to do is geared to that end.

The architect of the GOP’s battle for dominance is Karl Rove, but Evangelists who control the Party hope to replace our Secular Democracy with theocracy to control us all.

It seems incredible, but the memory of the Protestant break from Rome in the 18th Century has apparently faded sufficiently to allow Evangelists to attempt to resurrect that past at our expense.

The Holy See’s Party of God controls the House of Representatives now, and if it should control the Senate and the Presidency our fate could be sealed.

Justice Roberts of the Supreme Court recognized the danger when he voted in favor of the Affordable Health Care Act.

The Holy See was deeply disappointed, believing the Justices were solidly in their camp.

His vote disrupted their plan in the best interest of our Nation.

We the people, by following Justice Robert’s lead, should retain our Secular Government as the Founders intended it ought always to be.

Kenneth G. Ramey, Salem-News.com's Religion and Philosophy Writer, confronts the hard issues of politics and religion from a logical point of view that combines interesting insight with history into the truth, or lack thereof, that underlies the strengths and weaknesses of the Religious Right’s determination to use American politics for its own misguided, or selfish, interest. It’s rare for a writer to balance his writing between religious values and the secular guarantees of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights with the knowledge that Ken possesses, and to do it so effectively.

Ken was born in Minnesota but was raised in California since 1932. He is the youngest of four boys raised by his mother alone during the dark years of the Great Depression. He Graduated from SFSU in the 1970s when in his mid-forties, majoring in Spanish North American History, and added three years of post-graduate study, much of it in Philosophy and Religion. We live at a critical time in history and believe Ken's views represent the view of many who are tired of the commercialism and false interpretations about religion today. Watch for Ken's articles on religion, philosophy, politics and history. View articles written by Kenneth G. Ramey You can email Ken at: darken1@sbcglobal.net

I have adult grandchildren, meaning, I have been around for a while now, and have seen and heard many doom and gloom political prophecies. It was in 1960 when JFK was running for president that it was predicted that the Pope would be running the country through the Catholic JFK. Now we have similar predictions based on other religious and/or ideologies that our candidates have today. In regards to one party trying to assume power over another, well that is American politics. The current congress has nearly 100 "bi-partisan" bills sitting in the senate that the Mormon Elder Sen. Reid is just sitting on. Couple that with statements from the left that the Republican congress is doing nothing. Ummmm. Of course now we see more class warfare based on haves and have nots, which was how Marxism gained power, ultimately leading to the death of over 100 million "have not" souls. So where did JFK and his family get their money? How about all the wealthy people? We are a capitalist country, our poor people still have the opportunity to rise economically. Two thirds of all jobs are in companies of less than 50 employees, so who hires and who creates the majority of jobs? And it seems to me that no one particular religion since our founding has taken over the policy making of our government, but we will always have the doom and gloom predictors, I do not see that as a problem as long as our citizens know America's real history.
