Five-Alarm Blaze in Turner Sends One Firefighter to Hospital

Crews battle raging flames on an unusually hot Oregon day.

(TURNER, Ore.) - A structure fire in Turner, Oregon, a town located just south of Salem, drew a five alarm response and reportedly spread to wildland before being brought under control today.

The building, a large house located on Meeko Lane SE in Turner, appeared to be a total loss.

As the video shows, firefighters from several agencies in the region battled the raging fire that burned under a hot Oregon sky.

At this point firefighters from Marion County do not know what caused the fire.

One firefighter was transported from the scene by ambulance after a reported respiratory problem tied to smoke inhalation.

No other information was available, we will update the story when we learn more.
