Tickets on Sale Now for El Cuadro Solo Flamenco Performance

(SALEM) - Tickets are now on sale for kick-off concert of the 2006-2007 A World of Music at the Library season. El Cuadro Solo Flamenco, a Portland music and dance troupe, will perform a riveting, high-energy concert celebrating the Gypsy/Spanish art form of flamenco.

The show is at 7:00 PM Friday, October 6th in Loucks Auditorium at Salem Public Library, 585 Liberty St. SE. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. Advance tickets are sold beginning August 25 at all Library Circulation Desks.

El Cuadro Solo Flamenco is the performance arm of Solo Flamenco, a nonprofit organization that provides local educational experiences in scholarships in flamenco music and dance technique. El Cuadro Solo Flamenco features Diana Bright, Juliet Cardinal, Mitsue Johnson, and Elsabeth Petersen who bring to the stage their own individual style, interpretation, and expression of flamenco.

The World of Music at the Library series is sponsored by the Salem Public Library Foundation and the Friends of the Salem Public Library.

The series offers seven concerts this year, continuing on the first Friday of each month through April. Season tickets are now available through September 30th.
