(NEWBURGH, Indiana) - The United States and our President must come together today and stop all money flowing from our hard earned tax dollars to Egypt. Yes, I am talking about your money and your children's money and your grandparent's hard earned tax dollars flowing into Egypt at the rate of 1.5 billion dollars each year. Since 1948, we have given over 71 billion dollars to Egypt. That is more money than we have given to any nation, except Israel. Where does this money go? Approximately 1.2 billion goes to support an Egyptian military while the rest goes to sanitation and other humanitarian efforts. In the United States we have been cutting back on our own military budget. Our government talks of cutting military medical benefits and military retirement benefits while many homeless veterans are sleeping in the streets of America. As our soldiers are expected to defend us in other countries they are doing it with aging weapons and aging supplies all because of a tightening military budget. More and more excuses are being found to downsize our soldiers from the military because of a tightening military budget. Our President wants our military to be lean. Does this mean lean so that we can send billions to Egypt? "Lean".. so that we can send more billions to Iraq, Afghanistan and other nations that hate us? Why should we continue to reward a nation for fighting and being totally dysfunctional? If we had money to hand out then it should be as a reward for bringing about peace and helping other nations to be at peace. At the forefront of this problem is our empty national checking account. We do not have the money to throw out to other nations so they will try to love us and be good girls and boys. They hate us all the more. In the meantime our interstates are falling apart, our bridges are crumbling, our national parks are showing neglect, American people are hungry, jobless, homeless and our border security in the south continues to be weak. Thousands of our own military service people cannot afford to fly home to visit family. They cannot afford to buy cars and have to make do with small uniform allowances each year. Average America stands in line to fill out job applications at Walmart and McDonalds in hopes of landing an $8 an hour job to work 30 hours a week. We shovel our hard earned taxpayer dollars overseas to Egypt while they kill hundreds, burn down Christian churches and shake their fists at America. Saudi Arabia is threatening to send whatever funding we stop sending to Egypt. Good. They can even double it if they want. If we stop buying oil from Saudi Arabia today it will not be soon enough. Attention Congress! Please turn off the money to Egypt.

Daniel regarding your dated analysis, what's that have to do with the current terrorism of Christian believers and their places of worship? You have the same analysis for other belief systems? Is it just Christianity that engages in questionable behavior? What's occurring currently? In my state some athiests just blew up a large cross? The violence by people who disagree with others sets up even more violence. Is that what you want when you made the statement that: ""Burn down Christian churches? A good start." Many of my relatives believe in both old cultural ways and in Christianity, but are not attacking those of other belief systems. It's now, not then...We have daily images of violence happening in real time, and it is becoming pretty intense for those who are of a minority belief system within their specific locale. This is real terrorism...

On Christianity, Steve, I quote the late Charles Templeton (Who had originally team-preached with Billy Graham in the 1940s and 1950s), who wrote in his book, Farewell to God my reasons for rejecting the Christian faith: (1996):
“Many think of the church as a sacred institution and of priests and the clergy as men wholly dedicated to the service of God and humankind. This assumption has not always been valid; indeed, it has seldom been so. In the Middle Ages, in particular, the Christian church approximated a terrorist organization, being the instigator and the protagonist in the indescribable horrors of the infamous Inquisition.~~“In France and, later, in other parts of Europe, beginning in the fourteenth century and peaking in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, tens of thousands of innocent men and women—even children—were persecuted, arrested, imprisoned, tried in secret, tortured, flayed, hanged, or burned at the stake in a protracted obsession with heretics, witches, sorcerers, black magic and demon-possession.”
Note the fate of many children under the Catholic Church.

"Rehmat: There is no proof that the recent burning of churches were carried by Muslim fanatics." Could be the Amish? Of course you could look at the hours upon hours of video showing these violent acts and ID many who are Muslim committing these acts...but then that's just too easy? What we are witnessing is the beginning of a massive global uprising, and the one coming to North America will be one that changes everything. Good luck to all of you, for as you combat vets out there know quite clearly, is that things go sideways very quickly. By the way the nerve gas (WMD) being used in Syria, where do you think it came from? Do not forget who killed thousands of Kurds...and it is the rebel forces that have used this gas. Do not trust what is coming out of the Whitehouse people, do not trust them, for they are the real Zionists.

Daniel Johnson you make your feelings quite clear: "Burn down Christian churches? A good start." Do you also feel the same for other belief systems? Or is it just Christianity? Maybe you feel the same about Islamic places of worship? If so, then claim so and provide a home address. Hardly think you will, because cowards always hide from real danger...maybe you let some Islamic radicals discuss your non-beliefs and insulting comments?

There is no proof that the recent burning of churches were carried by Muslim fanatics. The only entity which gains from such religious sectarianism, is Israel. Remember the 2011 bombing of Alexandria church - the Jewish controlled media blamed it on the non-existing al-Qaeda, which later turned out to be an Israeli Mossad false flag operation. http://rehmat1.com/2011/01/03/mossad-bombs-alexandria-church/

How about cutting financial aid off all countries including israel? Why are we funding israel? And, the burning of christian churches is from the U.S./canada/UK/etc backed rebels who are alCIAda affiliates. And, Daniel Johnsons remark is one of the most racist remarks I have ever seen on this website. I am surprised salem-news would even post his remark. Banker owned obama admin is supporting both sides of the Egypt uprising, in fact, the west started the uprising, do your research. So Daniel, burn down anyone establishment because you dont have the same faith? Want to burn down muslim churches too? How about burning down gay churches too? Why not just kill everyone you dont agree with then you can run the world all by yourself. Ooops, you probably live off the canadian government and you need them. The same government that is supporting all the havoc in the middle east. You cant bite the hand that feeds you, even if that hand is from a mass murderer...Enjoy your welfare.

Never happen. No matter what you think of the ouster of Morsi by the military, Egypt is too important an ally for the U.S.
