Operation Red Dragonfly Outreach Mission for Veterans Takes Flight (VIDEO)

Our hardcore Veteran's Outreach Mission is underway!

(SACRAMENTO, CA) - Individuals like Jon Daggett from Sacramento Motorcycle Rentals have been instrumental in helping our Veteran outreach mission, Operation Red Dragonfly become a matter of reality, which it now is. Jon purchased the new set of tires on the motorcycle I'm using and supported other needed maintenance. His investment means a higher level of safety and it is greatly appreciated. The Oregon Confederation of Clubs also provided a $300 donation to the project. Many other individuals helped also and they are mentioned below. We apologize for any we miss, those names will be added.

Another business owner in California's capital city, Joshua Reiwitch of Sacramento Metro Detailing, donated his services, detailing the bike being used to reach Veterans all over the US and inform them about contaminated military bases and their related health impacts.

The support these Sacramento business owners are offering, along with other concerned people from the US and the UK, is invaluable. It is time we think outside of the box and reaching people in person is the type of approach we see too little of today.

I have already been able to connect and gather one crucial interview for a documentary on PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) that has been in the works since 2008. It is a great example of how the motorcycle allows the mobility to reach people in all corners of the nation who are otherwise very difficult to access. Our program will address this problem in ways never attempted, I went to Iraq in 2008 and interviewed soldiers and Marines serving in the combat theater who discussed PTSD in frank terms. These are the only extensive interviews with active duty combat troops about PTSD.

I will be speaking about the widespread unknown problematic toxic bases and their health effects, with the hope that Vets will take what they learn and do their own research. Cancer is the primary disease that Vets suffer and early detection can mean the difference sometimes between life and death.

The main chemical discussed in the book I co-authored with another former Marine named Robert O'Dowd, BETRAYAL - Toxic Exposure of U.S. Marines, Murder, and Government Cover-up, is TCE - trichloroethylene, a chemical degreaser used by all branches of the military, contact with it leads to many illnesses in addition to cancer, and the symptoms are passed down genetically.

Another subject, Agent Orange, will also be discussed. In context with that, will be the effects on the children of Vietnam Veterans and the growing advocacy for this generation of contaminated, poisoned US military. The list goes on; people need this outreach, they need an advocate to help them connect the dots so they can seek appropriate care if necessary. Veteran family members are also affected by the same toxins in many cases. I am traveling this nation in hope of bringing change, if one life is saved it is worth it. Please watch the video and consider how you might be able to help, even a small PayPal donation is extremely helpful.

Many people are already helping, one significant person is Sheree Evans in Missouri, she is the east coast contact person for 'Operation Red Dragonfly'. You can write to Sheree at evasher6@cebridge.net if you are interested in seeing this event come to your city or town.

People and organizations who have contributed include Kevin Saunders, Leonard Lawrence, Dennis Paterka, Karin Rougeau, Charlie Smith, Jean James, Bob and Donna Collinsworth, Robert and Grace O'Dowd, Al Hayward, James Frederickson, Michael Rawlings, Gary Bennett, Veterans United for Truth, EnyaDreamz Productions, the King family, Sacramento Motorcycle Rentals, and several other are already stepping up. It is time to think outside of the box, time to reach out in person. We believe this is a cheap and effective approach that will gain measurable ground in our fight to save lives.

Tim's years as a Human Rights reporter have taken on many dimensions; he has rallied for a long list of cultures and populations and continues to every day, with a strong and direct concentration on the 2009 Genocide of Tamil Hindus and Christians in Sri Lanka. As a result of his long list of reports exposing war crimes against Tamil people, Tim was invited to be the keynote speaker at the FeTNA (Federation of Tamil Sangams of North America) Conference in Baltimore, in July 2012. This is the largest annual gathering of North American Tamils; Tim addressed more than 3000 people and was presented with a traditional Sri Lanka ‘blessed garland’ and a shawl as per the tradition and custom of Tamil Nadu

In a personal capacity, Tim has written 2,026 articles as of March 2012 for Salem-News.com since the new format designed by Matt Lintz was launched in December, 2005. Serving readers with news from all over the globe, Tim's life is literally encircled by the endless news flow published by Salem-News.com, where more than 100 writers contribute stories from 23+ countries and regions.

Tim specializes in writing about political and military developments worldwide; and maintains that the label 'terrorist' is ill placed in many cases; specifically with the LTTE Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka, where it was used as an excuse to slaughter people by the tens of thousands; and in Gaza, where a trapped population lives at the mercy of Israel's destructive military war crime grinder. At the center of all of this, Tim pays extremely close attention to the safety and welfare of journalists worldwide.
