(SALEM, Ore.) - The City of Salem Public Works Department wants you to Be Aware! of some upcoming road construction projects this week that could delay your commute.

Please make a note of these projects, and if your commute takes you through one of these workzones, PLEASE! slow down, and expect some delays.

Marion County Department of Public Works announces that work is scheduled to begin on the Pennsylvania Avenue at Cordon Road Realignment Project on Monday.

The work consists of installation of a left turn pocket on Cordon Road for Pennsylvania.

Work will be done in stages and is expected to continue through September 30th.

The contractor will widen Cordon Road and will close Pennsylvania Avenue to through traffic at Wagon Road to reconstruct the intersection with Cordon Road.

The closure will be limited to 30 days.

Marion County encourages motorists to use alternate routes when possible due toexpected congestion.

Motorists using Cordon Road should be prepared for some delays and inconvenience.

Salem Industrial Dr NE Between Kanz Ct NE and Bill Frey Dr NE. Monday - Tuesday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Salem Industrial Dr NE between Bill Frey Dr NE and Kanz Ct NE will be reduced to one lane of traffic with flaggers.

Expect some delays at this location. This closure is for street paving.

Pringle Rd SE Between Marilyn St SE and Woodacre Dr SE. Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Pringle Rd SE between Marilyn St SE and Woodacre Dr SE will be reduced to one lane of traffic with flaggers.

This lane closure is for installation of utilities and street improvements for a development project.

Pine St NE Between Laurel Ave NE and Maple Ave NE. Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

The traffic lanes on Pine Street NE will be narrowed and shifted between Laurel Avenue NE and Maple Avenue NE.

This lane closure is for a water line improvement project. Expect some delay in this area.

12th St SE Between Mission St SE and Waller St SE. Tuesday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

12th St SE between Mission St SE and Waller St SE will be reduced to one lane of traffic.

This lane closure is for installation of sewer lines and manhole for a new building. Expect congestion in this area.
