Aug-03-2006 09:42TweetFollow @OregonNews Minor Earthquake Rattles Portland-Metro AreaSalem-News.comOn Sunday, a magnitude 4.0 earthquake shook at 4:30 PM, 200 miles off the Oregon Coast.
(PORTLAND) - A 3.8 magnitude earthquake struck at about 1:39 AM this morning near Cherry Grove, Washington. The USGS says the minor quake was centered 11.6 miles below the earth’s surface. There have been several small aftershocks. Washington State, and Clark County emergency officials say there have been no reports of any damage or injuries. The Washington Department of Transportation is out inspecting area bridges, especially those along I-5 for damage. The quake was felt throughout the Portland-Metro area. There WAS an earthquake in MARIN county, CA on Wednesday night at around 8pm. More than one earthquake can occur in a 24 hour period. What an idiot.
