Clackamas County Sheriff's Declare Road Closure Expected for Several Hours on SE 172nd Ave

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Crash Reconstruction and Forensic Technicians are responding to investigate this double fatal crash. Road closure for this section of SE 172nd can be expected to continue until approximately 6:00 PM.

(DAMASCUS, Ore.) - The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is investigating a two vehicle crash with two fatalities at 14700 SE 172nd Avenue, in Damascus.

An elderly male and female couple were killed on impact, they were the occupants of a sedan that crashed with a flatbed truck along this section of SE 172nd that runs north and south.

Investigators on the scene report the two, male; occupants of the flatbed truck involved in this fatal crash have been transported to Oregon Health Sciences University Hospital, in Portland.

Both subjects appear to have non-life threatening head injuries.

Life flight was initially summoned to the scene and cancelled.

SE Sunnyside Road at SE 172 is temporarily closed. And, SE 172nd at Armstrong Circle is closed while rescue personnel are working this particular crash.
