RT's Crosstalk on the Israeli Boycott- Walberg, Baddar and Atzmon

Can the movement reinvent itself and win support from those who criticize it today?

(LONDON / MOSCOW) - What goals has the BDS (Boycott Divestment Sanction) movement achieved so far to help Palestine? Is the word getting out?

Aside from the occasional flash mob or protest, most Americans go about their day not even realizing there is a very serious boycott effort against a number of Israeli products that are grown on stolen, Palestinian land.

Another nagging question, does it aim for a constructive solution to the conflict? How should Israel react to it?

Norman Finkelstein and Noam Chomsky agree that the goal of the movement is to destroy Israel – however knowing it has had almost no impact at all, particularly to Palestinian political prisoners, or the apartheid laws like 'Jewish only' roads and separate legal and judicial systems for Jews and non-Jews, how valid is this judgment?

Can the movement reinvent itself and win support from those who criticize it today? This is a super interesting chance to catch CrossTalking with Salem-News.com writer, Gilad Atzmon, Eric Walberg and Omar Baddar, in this program produced by Russian Television.

The problem BDS has is that its ultimate goal is replacing Israel with a Palestinian state (Omar Barghouti was honest/stupid enough to put that on the record) and since that isn't going to happen, the only audience BDS truly connects with is ALREADY a marginalized and impotent group. BDS has had a few tactical successes, a huge number of tactical failures--and strategically, they're finished the moment they get out of bed.

This discussion is so much BS. None of these talking heads can name ONE significant successful boycott the BDS movement has initiated. They jump on the bandwagon claiming credit for actions they had nothing to do with, such as the Norwegian Pension fund selling off their Africa-Israel shares when Africa-Israel stock was at an all-time low. The BDS movement is a failure that hasn't made one single effective step to assist Palestinians.
