(SALEM, Ore.) - The FBI and the Salem Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed the US Bank branch located at 3485 Commercial Street SE in Salem at approximately 4:25 pm on Wednesday. The man reportedly walked into the bank, approached a teller and demanded cash. He left on foot, the FBI said. Witnesses describe him as a white male, approximately six feet two inches tall, weighing around 230 pounds. His build is described as stocky. The suspect reportedly had dark brown hair and a beard. He was further described as wearing glasses with black rims, a baseball hat with an “S” (possibly a Seattle Mariners hat), a light-colored long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes. The FBI's Spokesperson in Portland, Beth Anne Steele, says anyone with information is asked to call the FBI in Salem at (503) 362-6601 during normal business hours. The FBI in Portland at (503) 224-4181 twenty-four hours a day or the Salem Police Department at (503) 588-6123.
