Memorial Services for Virginia Tech Victims

32 Virginia Tech students and faculty lost their lives Monday morning.

(BLACKSBURG, Va.) - The families of several victims have provided the following information regarding memorial services for their loved ones who were tragically killed Monday on the Virginia Tech campus.

We will add information to this page as it becomes available.


Brian Bluhm
Arrangements for Brian Bluhm's funeral are being made as follows.

Ryan Clark
The family of Ryan Clark will hold a memorial service to honor his life on Saturday, at 4:00 PM at Lakeside High School in Evans, Georgia. The Virginia Tech community is invited to attend.

Ryan was a senior from Martinez, Georgia who served the university as a resident advisor and a member of the Marching Virginians. He was a double major in English and biology who planned to pursue a doctorate in psychology. Ryan touched many lives during his time at Virginia Tech.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Ryan Clark Memorial Fund, Georgia Bank and Trust, PO Box 15367, Augusta, GA 30919-5367.

Austin Michelle Cloyd

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, at 2:00 PM in the Blacksburg Baptist Church with Dr. Tommy McDearis officiating.

The family will receive friends starting at 11:00 AM Saturday at the church.

A separate memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Champaign, Ill., on her birthday, Tuesday, April 24th, at 7:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 5:00 PM.

The family will receive friends at Thomas Dale High School on Sunday, April 22nd, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.

The funeral service will be held at Southside Church of the Nazarene, 6851 Courthouse Road, Chesterfield, Va., on Monday, April 23rd at 11:00 AM followed by interment at Sunset Memorial Park in Chester, Va.

The funeral home is E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory In Colonial Heights, Va.

Friends may call at Narrows High School Friday after 3 p.m. Flowers are welcome and two funds in honor of Jarrett have been established.

A service in Blacksburg will be held next week for Cadet Matthew La Porte. Final arrangements for this service are not complete.

The public visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 PM on Saturday at Oakey's North Chapel. All other ceremonies are private.

Daniel Patrick O’Neil

Candlelight Vigil: 7:00-11:00 PM, Saturday, April 21st, McColl YMW Field, on 26 Breakneck Road in Lincoln, RI.

“A Celebration of Daniel O’Neil’s life.” Some of Dan’s music will be played and an open mike will be available.

People are encouraged to bring flowers.

All flowers brought to the event will be dipped and woven into a wreath that will be woven into a memorial wreath that will be at the wake on Monday.

Visitation: Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, April 23rd, at the Lincoln High School gymnasium, Lincoln, RI.

Funeral: The Mass will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 24th, at St. Jude’s Church, Front Street in Lincoln. Burial will be private.

A scholarship fund is being set up. Details will follow tomorrow as friends and family are meeting tonight. The funeral home expects that information soon.
