(CORVALLIS) - Two suspects suspected of robbing a Circle K store in Corvallis were caught by Benton County Sheriff's deputies shortly after 3:30 AM Sunday. A Circle K employee in Corvallis told police that one of the three suspects who entered the store at NW 9th St. and NW Grant Ave, put his hand underneath his jacket and told the employee to give him all of the money or he would be shot. Corvallis Police Officers were dispatched to the Circle K robbery at 3:29 AM Sunday, after the suspects entered the store and confronted the employee. One of the suspects was later identified as Shawn Oard of Albany. Police say the second suspect, identified as Ismael Nelson, stood beside Oard at the counter. The employee says he removed an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register then Nelson grabbed the money and he and Oard fled on foot. A second employee saw Oard and Nelson run west on NW Grant Ave. from the parking lot. He then heard a vehicle driving from the area. A Benton County Sheriff Deputy located the suspect vehicle on NW Highland Ave. near NW Walnut Blvd. The deputy and Corvallis Police Officers stopped the vehicle and detained four people. The Circle K employee was able to positively identify Oard and Nelson as the robbery suspects. Officers also developed probable cause to arrest the driver, Pedro Francisco, for his role in the robbery. Officers say they did not have probable cause to charge the fourth occupant. Corvallis Police Lt. Ron Noble says an undisclosed amount of cash was recovered in the vehicle. Drug paraphernalia and various controlled substances were also discovered he said. No firearms were found. Oard, Nelson and Francisco were transported to the Benton County Corrections Facility where they were booked on the following charges: Shawn Oard is charged with second-degree Robbery, a class-B Felony.
