(Buena Vista) - The ferry at Buena Vista Begins operation at 7:00 AM Wednesday morning, commencing servide across the Willamette River for the 2006 season. A Marion County Public Works spokesman says the seasonal opening of the Buena Vista Ferry on Wednesday will run from April 19th through October 29th. The operating schedule is: . Wednesday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM . Saturday & Sunday, 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM The Buena Vista ferry is a historic site on the Willamette River, once a busy location of major agriculture trade, the river crossing was essential to the transport of goods and materials.
