(DALLAS, Ore.) - A spokesperson with the Federal Bureau of Investigation says that around noon Thursday, a man robbed the Oregon First Commuity Credit Union located at 372 Ellendale Boulevard in Dallas, Oregon.

Elizabeth Steele with the FBI, says the suspect walked into the bank, approached the teller desk and demanded cash.

"At that point, he showed the teller that he was carrying a silver handgun," Steele said.

Witnesses at the credit union got a look at the robbery suspect, and described him as a white male, approximately 20 to 30-years old.

He was reportedly between five-foot ten and six-feet tall, and had what was described as a heavy build.

The suspect apparently entered the credit union wearing a black ski mask, black zip-up hoody sweatshirt, blue jeans, dark shoes and carrying a black canvas bag.

"The witnesses described the getaway vehicle as either a tan-colored sedan, possibly a Pontiac, or a dark-blue sedan with a large pipe and loud muffler," Steele said.

Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to call the Dallas Police Department at (503) 831-3516, FBI in Salem at (503) 362-6601 during normal business hours.

You can also call the FBI in Portland at (503) 224-4181 twenty-four hours a day.
