(KEIZER, Ore. ) - Keizer Police arrested a Salem man on Monday in connection with a bank robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 4605 River Road N in Keizer.

Sgt. John Troncoso says officers responded to the bank at 1:44 PM. There were several customers in the bank, and the suspect was reported to be armed with a gun.

Police set up a perimeter outside the bank, and when the suspect failed to leave the bank, officers entered and took the suspect into custody without incident.

No weapons were recovered from the suspect, and no hostages had been taken. The suspect had presented a demand note which indicated that he was armed with a gun. The suspect had not obtained any money during the robbery Troncoso said.

The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Daniel T. Bishop of Salem was logged into the Marion County Jail on Second Degree Robbery and two counts of Menacing.

Anyone having further information about this case is urged to call Det. Jennifer Roberts at (503) 390-3713 ext. 3501.

Hey Sundance, this looks like fertile ground for getting people on anti-psychotic medications.

Expect more of this as more living wage jobs go overseas. People have to eat. Just like the guy in VA., everyone has a breaking point. Sometimes this behavior is out of greed, sometimes out of need, sometimes out of frustration and anger or a combination of all of the above. Eventually the end social products are more police, more felonies, more working poor, more government aid to poor, more wars, more drug use leading to more felonies. More security jobs, more cameras, more paranoia. Sending jobs overseas is a great idea...enjoy your local WalMart and its rockbottom prices on junk. Made in Bangladesh. Oh, forgot Corrections Corp. of America...slave labor reinstituted. Corrupt, Corrupt, Corrupt.....who are the other crimminals? It is obvious to me.

American Hero's are not, I repeat NOT, people who take what isn't their's in the first place!

Let Freedom Ring! April 16, 2007 5:55 pm (Pacific time)

Most bank robbers are brave heros. They are fighting single handedly the corrupt money system. They know what they want and they fight for it. I just do not like the ones that kill for the money. Otherwise, they are true American Heros.
