(SALEM) - Internet users can now review cold cases being investigated by the Marion County Sheriff`s Department cold case squad.

The Sheriff`s Web site includes a link to the Cold Case Homicide Squad.

The Cold Case Squad is staffed by four detectives selected by Sheriff Raul Ramirez to review and investigate unsolved Marion County homicides.

The four investigators bring a combined total of more than 120 years of law enforcement experience to the squad.

The public can review cold cases currently under investigation, see photographs of the victims, and may submit any information believed to be of value to the investigation. The sheriff requests that anyone with information about these or any other unsolved homicides use the Cold Case Squad link to submit information to the squad.

Submissions may be made anonymously; however, investigators advise that follow-up interviews are far more fruitful in developing meaningful case leads than anonymous reports.

Cold Case Squad supervisor Detective Mike Myers says any information, no matter how small, can be useful.

He added that he hopes the efforts of the squad will help us bring well-deserved closure to the families who still grieve for their loved ones."

To view the Cold Case Squad`s page, direct your browser to the Marion County Sheriff`s Office home page (http://sheriff.co.mario.or.us) and click on the Cold Case Squad link in the crime information column.
