Silva touched many of our lives and is best known for is ever positive attitude, willingness to help others and keen intellect.
(GRESHAM, Ore.) - The Gresham Police Department mourns the loss of Detective Tony (TC) Silva who died on Sunday. Detective Silva, and members of his family were climbing in Klickitat County Washington when T.C. and his sister in-law Laura Dyal-Silva fell to their death. Emergency personnel were on the scene quickly, however their efforts were unsuccessful. T.C. Silva was an eight-year veteran of the police department. He was currently assigned as a detective within the East Multnomah County Gang Enforcement Team, and had also served as a SWAT member, field training officer and a self defense instructor. T.C. is survived by his wife Rebecca, his sons Riley and Tony Jr. III. T.C. is the son of Gresham Police Lieutenant Tony Silva who is currently assigned to TriMet. This is a difficult time for all members of the Gresham Police Department. T.C. Silva touched many of our lives and is best known for is ever positive attitude, willingness to help others and keen intellect. We ask that members of the community join us in prayers for the Silva family. No funeral arrangement information is available at this time.
