(SALEM) - Former Democratic State Representative Kelly Wirth from Corvallis is scheduled to be back in a Marion County courtroom on Thursday for a change of plea hearing.

The 40-year-old resigned after she was charged with possession of methamphetamine. Police say they found a small amount of the drug after searching her vehicle after she was run-down outside the Capitol last year.

23-year-old Lisa Temple from Salem pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and is serving a nearly six year sentence. Temple claimed that Wirth was having an affair with her husband, a janitor at the state capitol.
