School Placed in Lockdown During Police Search for Man Who Bolted from Traffic Stop

Police used canine units to track the man through South Salem, he was eventually located and taken into custody on Suntree Court. This is an area near the now closed Fairview Training Center.

(SALEM) - A middle school was placed on lock down as police in Salem spent hours tracking a suspect who bolted from his car during a traffic stop. It happened in south Salem today around 12:30 p.m. The incident began near Pringle Road.

Leslie Middle School was locked down from 12:45 to 2:40 p.m. No students were impacted.

The man, whose name was not available, reportedly had a warrant out for his arrest.
