A Dissenting View on Wars With False Causes

For those of us that believe our country went down the wrong path, we have to stand up and not march behind those that are willing to fool themselves.

(WEST DENNIS, MA) - Looking back on the ten year anniversary of the Iraq war, many of us can remember the silence in the media before this war started.

This was a disservice to those Americans who were willing to stand up and say that they wanted their sons and daughters that are taught to fight to be put in the right fights and the right causes.

Pakistan Says Afghanistan `Overreacts` to Cross-Border Shelling

Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister Jawed Ludin reportedly stated on Wednesday that “the depth of Pakistan’s complacency” in the Afghan peace process has “shocked” and “disappointed” his country.

(ISLAMABAD Voice of America) - Pakistan criticized as an “overreaction” Afghanistan’s decision to cancel a military trip over alleged cross-border shelling by Pakistani troops.

Pakistan dismissed Kabul’s allegations that Islamabad is not helping advance the Afghan peace process.

Afghanistan Accuses Pakistan of Wrecking Peace Hopes

(KABUL AFP News) - The Afghan government on Thursday accused Pakistan of wrecking efforts to end the Taliban's bloody 11-year insurgency, in the latest sign of worsening cross-border relations.

Pakistan, which backed Afghanistan's 1996-2001 Taliban regime, is seen as having a crucial role in negotiating a political settlement with the Islamist extremist leaders who shelter in Pakistan's border districts.

Myanmar Govt Slams Religious Extremism

Much of the violence appears to be well organized.

(YANGON Agence Press France) - Myanmar President Thein Sein said yesterday that his reformist government would not tolerate religious extremism, following a wave of deadly Buddhist-Muslim violence in the former army-ruled nation.

At least 40 people have been killed and mosques burned in several towns in central Myanmar since a new eruption of sectarian strife on March 20, prompting the government to impose emergency rule and curfews in some areas.
