Freeway Pursuit Leads to Arrest of Man and Recovery of Female Runaway

Police say speeds during the chase reached 100 MPH.

(WILSONVILLE, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Oregon State Police say troopers arrested a Hillsboro man and detained a 17-year old runaway female passenger Wednesday morning after they attempted to elude police northbound on Interstate 5 for over 25 miles before crashing on Highway 217.

"After crashing, the man tried to elude on foot but was overtaken by troopers and arrested after a brief struggle." Lt. Gregg Hastings with Oregon State Police said.

Avamere Health Systems Announces New President of Signature Home Health

Trey Malicoat to lead both Signature Home Health and Signature Hospice.

(WILSONVILLE, Ore.) - Avamere logo Avamere Health Systems CEO Bob Schneider and COO Brent Hutchings have announced today that Trey Malicoat, president of Avamere's Signature Hospice, will also assume the leadership of Signature Home Health.

Malicoat, who has been with Avamere since 2005, will refocus the $12 million company on individualized needs for services. He will be responsible for providing more direct service workers and streamline management systems at Signature Home Health by using the same model he employs at Signature Hospice.

A New State-of-the-Art Hospice Opens March 6th

Anonymous donor has $1,000 prize for art that symbolizes life, hope and love.

(WILSONVILLE, Ore.) - Hpspice bird A donor who insists on remaining anonymous, has challenged the Pacific Northwest art community to add a final touch to Signature Hospice House, the new Beaverton state-of-the-art inpatient medical facility, slated to open March 6th 2008. Signature Hospice supported the donor's son, and he wants artists to use their talents to create what may be the last image a dying patient sees.

His only stipulation is that the artwork is a symbol of love, life and hope. He strongly feels that Signature Hospice's philosophy was the central factor in extending the life of his child and making his son's death as painless and fulfilling as possible. The donor is currently in Signature Hospice's grief counseling program.

Axe Handle Wielding Half-Brother Arrested for Assault in Wilsonville

Preliminary information indicates that the victim and the suspects may have had a falling our over the distribution of proceeds from a local burglary.

(OREGON CITY) - Randy Miller and Jedidiah Miller, suspects in ax attack on Memorial Day in Wilsonville, Oregon 53007 A Wilsonville man was arrested by Clackamas County Sheriff's Patrol on Memorial Day for assaulting his half-brother with an axe handle while the victim brother was sleeping on a couch; then forcing him to go to a remote location along Grahams Ferry Road.

The axe handle believed to have been used in this attack was discarded by the suspect in this isolated area, and later recovered as evidence by Clackamas County Sheriff's Office patrol investigators.

Road Rage Report Leads to Drug Arrest at Oregon Rest Area

A search of the backpack revealed approximately 2 1/4 pounds of marijuana and 2 1/2 ounces of cocaine.

(WILSONVILLE, Ore. ) - rest stop arrest An 18-year old Pendleton-area resident was arrested Friday morning by an Oregon State Police trooper on marijuana and cocaine charges after a road rage complaint on Interstate 5 south of Wilsonville led to the discovery of over 2 pounds of Marijuana and more than two ounces of Cocaine.

At approximately 8:00 AM, OSP Trooper Jason Lindland responded to the northbound Interstate 5 Baldock rest area south of Wilsonville regarding a road rage incident.

Initial report alleged an individual threw liquid at the victim's vehicle followed by another person pointing a paintball gun.

Clackamas Deputies Make Swift Arrest in Murder

Evidence suggests jealousy may have motivated the killing.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Clackamas Oregon murder scene 42907 Clackamas County Sheriff's investigators are pleased with the swift course of a criminal death investigation Sunday, which led to the arrest of a suspect less than 8 hours from the time of the reported tragic murder event in Wilsonville that left one man dead.

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Detective Jim Strovink, says that shortly after midnight, Sunday morning, law enforcement and emergency medical personnel responded to a home on SW Essex Court, in the City of Wilsonville.

Death of California Man Found at Baldock Rest Area Near Wilsonville Deemed Suspicious

Investigation to this point indicates Mr. Hunt was visiting the area but no further information is being released.

(WILSONVILLE) - Photos of Mr. Hunt courtesy: Oregon State Police The Oregon State Medical Examiner has positively identified the body found January 26th in a thick brushy area about 100 yards south of the rear paved parking lot at Baldock Rest Area south of Wilsonville.

Identification was made using dental records. Photographs have now been released to assist with developing information related to this suspicious death investigation.

State Police say the body was positively identified as 56-year old Thomas Hean Hunt of Merced, California.

I-5 Backed up at Wilsonville

Anyone heading toward Portland should jump onto 99E to avoid a stopped freeway.

(WILSONVILLE) - The northbound lanes of Interstate 5 are at a stop due to an apparent van fire. Anyone heading north toward the city of Portland should take Highway 99 E to avoid the area.

Our understanding is that emergency crews are on scene.

Semi-Trucks Crash Head-On in Wilsonville

(WILSONVILLE) - photo: wrecked truck Oregon State Police and local emergency personnel responded to a head-on crash at 4:00 PM on Highway 551 near Keil Road involving two commercial trucks. The crash tied up Wilsonville traffic in several directions requiring a large response from police, firefighters and medical personnel.

State Police Seek Information Related to Hit and Run Crash on I-5

(WILSONVILLE) - Oregon State Police are investigating Friday morning's injury traffic crash on Interstate 5 northbound on Boone Bridge south of Wilsonville. One person received non-life threatening injuries. OSP troopers are seeking information regarding a vehicle that caused the crash and failed to remain at the scene.

On June 9th at approximately 5:55 AM, an unknown red mid-90's Ford Mustang was merging northbound onto Interstate 5 from the Canby/Hubbard Highway, also commonly referred to as Highway 551.

The red Ford Mustang reportedly merged onto Interstate 5 by crossing all lanes towards the left northbound lane where it sideswiped a white Ford Focus driven by 24-year old Patricia Estrab of from Salem. The impact caused Estrab to lose control of her car, strike the center cement barrier and then crash into the side of a box truck.

Witnesses reported the red Ford Mustang pulled onto the shoulder and remained for a couple minutes but the driver did not get out to contact anyone. The unknown driver then drove away northbound.

Estrab was transported to Oregon Health Sciences University for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The truck's driver was not injured.
