I never would have imagined that I would now be writing the story of the 70th man who served at or lived aboard Camp Lejeune, who developed breast cancer.
This is the final straw in drawing needed attention to serious health issues tied to the base water supply.

Those of us who have had the honor of wearing our nation’s uniform can often find ourselves using the phrase: “I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for…” and we name a battle buddy who literally saved our life.
I can honestly say that I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for Paralyzed Veterans of America. It’s the organization that saved my life when a serious injury left me paralyzed.

I became a bit of an expert on the military legal system during my time as a U.S. Marine.
I don't know if it was half me and half the Marine Corps, or just how it all came to be the mess that it was; but I do feel that I became a qualified expert of sorts at being a Marine troublemaker.
