US Gas Prices Continue to Fall Despite Worldwide Conflicts

Oregon still has the 5th highest average price at $3.95 a gallon.

U.S. Gas Prices Remain High, But Starting Downward Slide

Oregon remains in the top-5 of highest average gas prices in the country.

(WASHINGTON, D.C. ) - US GAS PRICES The national average price of gas has fallen for ten straight days, but remains the highest price for this calendar date since 2008.

In the Salem area the average price for regular unleaded gasoline rose one cent as of Monday to $3.98. Eugene and Medford remain over $4.00 a gallon as of Monday.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - US Gas Prices With a projected 41 million Americans expected to take to the road over the Independence Day holiday, AAA says drivers can expect to pay the highest gas prices since 2008.

AAA says the majority of travelers will travel 50 miles or more away from home, an almost two percent increase from last year, and a 14 percent increase compared to the Memorial Day holiday weekend.

U.S. Gas Prices Hit Six Year High Due to Violence in Iraq

In the Salem - Metro area, drivers are paying an average of $3.96 a gallon, compared to $3.72 one year ago for regular unleaded gasoline.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Gas Price Pain As the end of the first full month of the 2014 summer driving season, the national price for regular unleaded gasoline is $3.68 per gallon, which is the highest price for early summer in six years.

The average price at the pump has increased for 12 consecutive days for a total of four cents per gallon, narrowing the gap between the current retail price and the 2014 peak of $3.70 per gallon reached on April 28.
