Study: Running May Add 3 Years to Your Life

Current U.S. guidelines for physical activity call for a minimum of 75 minutes per week of running or other vigorous-intensity aerobic activity, or 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise most days of the week.

(AMES, Iowa) - People Running Runners may live an average three years longer than people who don't run, according to new research.

But, the best news from this study is that it appears that you can reap this benefit even if you run at slow speeds for mere minutes every day, the 15-year study suggests.

(ALBANY, Ore. ) - City of Albany Oregon Albany Parks & Recreation Department is offering a mountain bike clinic. Instructor is Dan Coyle, outdoor enthusiast.

The Runaway Pumpkin Half Marathon will be held Saturday, October 18, at Cheadle Lake Park in Lebanon.

Registration Now Open for Ocean`s Edge 5K

Cost to enter before July 5 is $15 for the race only, $25 with a shirt.

(LINCOLN CITY, Ore. ) - Oregon Coast at Lincoln City Registration is now open for the annual Ocean's Edge 5K Run/Walk at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, July 5, in Lincoln City.

The run will be held on the beach behind Kyllo's Restaurant at low tide.
