Award Winning Original Roots Bluegrass Band to Appear at Mt. Angel Performing Arts Center

(MT. ANGEL, Ore.) -  Dennis Nelson, Tom Tower, Kathy Boyd and Tim Crosby Doran Productions and the Mt. Angel Performing Arts Center will host an evening of family friendly, outstandingly entertaining original roots bluegrass with the award-winning group Kathy Boyd & Phoenix Rising.

Celebrating their 5th year together, 2010 has been a banner season for the band, with the release of their 3rd CD - a gospel recording called "Walk Humbly", 47 performances, a partnership with Brian Farrish Radio Promotions, and the recent win of the $10,000 prize in the 2010 International City Love Music Contest with a song about band leader Kathy Boyd's home town of Clatskanie, Oregon

Jews, Jazz & Socialism

I can accept that Israel is indeed a well of very many incredible Jazz talents. However, one question is still left open -- is there such a thing as Jewish Jazz?

(LONDON) - Jewish jazz How would you feel about a Radio show specialising in Aryan classical music? How would you feel about a radio show that features mainly, or only Aryan composers and performers?

I guess that I know the answer: you would feel disturbed, and you may even want to protest.

We are promoting and playing together in a massive music festival for Palestine. We are flying musicians to London, we are mixing jazz with folk with hip hop and roots music. Ex-ELO Band Member Killed in Freak Accident

A former cellist for the British rock band Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) was killed Friday.

(LONDON) - ELO member freak accident 62-year old Mike Edwards was driving a van when a giant, runaway 1,300 pound bale of hay rolled down a steep hill, hit a hedge and flew 15 feet into the air then smashed fatally into the cab of his vehicle.
