USDA Lifts Restrictions on Planting GMO Seeds

A MAPLight.org analysis of data from the Center for Responsive Politics shows that two high-ranking officials on the House Agriculture Committee topped Syngenta's donor list.

DoD determined that herbicides used on the Thailand base perimeters may have been tactical and procured from Vietnam, or a strong, commercial type resembling tactical herbicides.

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - U-Tapao Air Base, Thailand, 1972 Vietnam-era Veterans whose service involved duty on or near the perimeters of military bases in Thailand may have been exposed to herbicides and may qualify for VA benefits.

A recently declassified Department of Defense Report written in 1973 contains evidence that there was a significant use of herbicides on the fenced-in perimeters of military bases in Thailand.

Agent Orange Cleanup to Start at Former US Base in Vietnam

The agreement covers contamination at the Danang airport in central Vietnam.

(HANOI (AFP) ) - Agence France-Press Vietnam and the United States aim to start cleaning up contamination from Agent Orange at a former wartime US base in the middle of next year, the US embassy said Thursday.

A memorandum signed between the two sides "confirms the mutual desire of both governments to cooperate in hopes that cleanup can begin in July 2011 and be completed in October 2013," the statement said.
