Oregon Joins Nation in Recognition of AMBER ALERT Awareness Day

National AMBER Alert Awareness Day sees 12th birthday on January 13th 2009‏.

(PORTLAND, Ore,) - Amber Alert logo Twelve years since the abduction and murder of Amber Hagerman in Arlington, Texas, January 13th 2009 commemorates the third national AMBER Alert Awareness Day.

Following Amber's abduction, the Dallas/Fort Worth Association of Radio Managers teamed up with local law-enforcement in 1997 to implement the first local AMBER Plan. Since that time, the program has grown into a seamless network of 120 AMBER Plans across the country, and has even reached into Canada and parts of England.

Nationwide, there are 29 regional, 38 local, and statewide plans in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Human Remains Recovered From the Clackamas River‏

A Clackamas County Deputy Medical Examiner was called to the scene after an unidentified human body was discovered.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Death investigation Clackamas County Sheriff's deputies say they received a report Saturday morning about a missing 46-year old Eagle Creek woman.

Detective Jim Strovink with the Clackamas Sheriff's Office says later Saturday afternoon, at 2:30 PM, a pick-up truck similar to the vehicle described as being operated by the missing female was discovered crashed in the Clackamas River, located an estimated 100 yards upriver from the entrance of Eagle Fern Park, on SE Kitzmiller Road, in Eagle Creek.

"Clackamas County Sheriff's Patrol personnel responded and met with the reporting Eagle Fern Park Ranger who discovered the crashed and partially submerged pick-up truck in the Clackamas River," Strovink said.

Amber Alert Issued for 2 North Carolina Children

The suspect vehicle, a White 1986 Toyota Truck Extended Cab with NC tag number YNS-8257, possibly has a camper cover that is white in color. The truck may have gold stripes and rusted fender wells.

(CANDLER, N.C.) - Hayes Heatwole and Haley Heatwole The State of North Carolina issued an Amber Alert after two children were apparently abducted following a triple homicide in Candler on Thursday.

Milwaukie Police Seek Help in Locating Missing Man

Milwaukie Police want to hear from anyone who has seen Eric Davis, or has information on his whereabouts.

(MILWAUKIE, Ore.) - Police are trying to find 41-year old Albert Milwaukie Police are asking for help in locating a Milwaukie man missing since November 8th 2008. The man may be a danger to himself and police would like to know where he is.

The missing man is 41-year old Albert "Eric" Davis of Milwaukie. He last contacted his family at 2:20 p.m. on November 8th.

Officer Kevin Krebs with Milwaukie Police, says Davis has not returned home and has not been at his place of employment, a construction company. He is a white male, Six-foot one, 195 pounds, bald with blue eyes and tattoos on both upper arms.

Video of Fishing Vessel Network`s Capsizing Released

The Coast Guard released the clip of the tragic incident in Tillamook Bay today.

(TILLAMOOK, Ore.) - Coast Guard 47-foot motor lifeboat crew from Station Tillamook Bay The U.S. Coast Guard has released video of a tragic capsizing that took place early last Friday morning in Oregon's Tillamook Bay. The heart wrenching scenes were recorded by a Coast Guard volunteer named Sherry Newman.

In one clip, we see the fishing vessel Network struck by a large wave while the crew was struggling to make headway in the tremendous surf, very close to the end of the north jetty at the mouth of Tillamook Bay.

The Coast Guard 47-foot motor lifeboat that responded to aid the Network stayed very close during the ordeal. It seems amazing that the Coast Guard boat was actually there as the tragedy occurred. It speaks to the extreme conditions that overtook the fishing vessel.

Search for Missing Fishing Boat Crew Suspended

Casualty and pollution investigators from Coast Guard Sector Portland were dispatched to Tillamook to investigate the capsizing and a sheen of diesel fuel that appeared in the water.

(TILLAMOOK, Ore.) - Capsized fishing boat Network in Tillamook Bay The search for two men near the north jetty of Tillamook Bay, Oregon, was suspended Friday at 4:31 PM, Coast Guard officials report.

They say the two men were part of a crew from the 42-foot crab boat Network from Garibaldi, Oregon, that capsized and broke up at 7:42 AM. Coast Guard crews including two 47-foot motor lifeboat crews from Station Tillamook Bay, and three HH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crews from Air Station Astoria, searched 15 square miles for seven hours in order to locate the men.

The capsizing was initially reported by a Coast Guard 47-foot motor lifeboat crew from Station Tillamook Bay that witnessed the event. One of the three men aboard the vessel was able to swim to shore where he was taken to the Tillamook hospital by fire crews from Rockaway Beach and Garibaldi. Contrary to previous reports, none of the men were wearing lifejackets.

Amber Alert Issued for Illinois Baby

Anyone with information should call 312 745 6004 or dial 911.

(CHICAGO) - The Illinois State Police Department has issued an Amber Alert over a missing seven-month old baby, who reportedly disappeared after the vehicle the child was in was stolen.

Authorities say the child is Osial Hernandez, a Hispanic male child.

At this point, police in Illinois way the suspect who stole the vehicle with the child inside remains unknown.

The stolen vehicle is a light green 2003 Dodge Caravan, with Illinois license plate X533131.

Missing Sixteen Year Old Female Located in Rhododendron

The girl was located in Rhododendron and taken into protective custody until her mother arrived.

(TIGARD, Ore.) - 16-year old Maelissa Larson is missing Police say a tip from a citizen in Rhododendron late this afternoon ultimately resulted in locating sixteen-year old Maelissa Larson of Tigard.

The girl was reported missing on Saturday after her mother discovered she left her home along with her teenage sister.

Late Saturday night it was reported that the girls got separated near Sandy, Oregon. The sister was picked up by the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office and returned to her family.

Search and Rescue Teams Credited With Locating Lost Mushroom Picker

Lost overnight in the dark, the 62-year old man walked and at times crawled throughout the night, except for about 2 hours when he was able to sleep.‏

(SCOTTS MILLS, Ore.) - Marion County Search and Rescue on a prior search for missing hikers near Drakes Crossing. A mushroom picker lost overnight off of Crooked Finger Road in Scotts Mills near Camp Dakota, was recovered safely by search teams from Marion County's Sheriff's Office this morning. His friend became concerned and called 911 around 9:00 PM Friday night.

FBI Seeks Missing Girl From Dallas 14 Years After Disappearance

FBI and Father of Ashlyn Wilson Mark Her 14th Birthday.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Thursday, November 20th 2008, marks Ashlyn Wilson’s 14th birthday. She has been missing since she was an infant. The FBI holds a federal fugitive warrant for her mother, Tara Suzanne Wilson, and agents are still, despite the years, actively pursuing this case.

To this end, the FBI is featuring this case in the fugitive section of its national web site at fbi.gov/wanted.htm and on its local home page at fbi.gov today.

The FBI's Beth Anne Steele in Portland, says Ashlyn was born in Dallas, Oregon. After her birth, her father, Dan Wilson fought for legal custody. (Although Dan and Tara Wilson share the same last name, they were never married.) Tara Wilson failed to appear at a series of legal hearings in 1994, and she fled with Ashlyn 1995. Although the courts later awarded full custody to Dan Wilson, he has never seen his daughter.
