Search Suspended for Hiker in Mt Jefferson Wilderness

(DETROIT, Ore.) - After seven days of searching, the decision has been made to suspend the active search for missing hiker Riley Zickel. Mr. Zickel went missing after entering the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness area Wednesday, July 27th.

Mr. Zickel was last seen on the Pacific Crest Trail just north of Jefferson Park where he visited with another hiker along the trail. The decision to suspend the active search was made after exhausting all available leads.

Search Continues for Overdue Hiker in the Jefferson Wilderness

Volunteers are searching for a Portland man, missing for nearly a full week now.

(DETROIT, Ore.) - 21-year old Ryan Zickel is the overdue hiker, missing since last Wednesday. He arrived in the Jefferson Wilderness with the intent to explore the park and possibly summit Mt. Jefferson, and planned on staying only one night at Jefferson Park.

Mr. Zickel told family he intended to exit the park Thursday to meet friends for another hike in the Seattle area.

Body of Katy Roe Recovered from Ocean

Sad news for a community that has been holding out hope.

(DEPOE BAY, Ore.) - The US Coast Guard, Station Depoe Bay they had located and recovered a clothed female body from the ocean just outside the jaws of the Depoe Bay Harbor just before 6 a.m. today.

Lincoln County Major Crime Team members immediately responded, and detectives were able to make a positive presumptive identification of the recovered body to be missing person, Katharine “Katy” Roe of Depoe Bay.

(DEPOE BAY, Ore.) - Katy Roe has been missing over a week. 22-year old Katharine "Katy" Olivia Roe disappeared early on Sunday April 17, 2016 from Depoe Bay, OR. She was last seen leaving the Wing Wa Restaurant, a downtown bar, at 2:00 am.

Katy is 4’9″ tall, 90 pounds with long brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing black pants and a white long-sleeve shirt. She was alone, headed for the mile-long walk to her home in Southpoint.

UPDATE: April Kondash has been located, and is safe.

(SALEM) - 42-year old April Harden Kondash has been listed as a Missing Person in Salem, Oregon. She left a message on facebook that lead family and friends to believe she is depressed and may be at risk.

This is very out of the ordinary, and concern is increasing.

She may be driving a white 4-door 2000 Pontiac Sunfire license XBG 787, with the center of the hubcaps missing. She has a bumper sticker in the back window that says, "Well behaved women rarely make history".

April is a merchandiser for Coremark and a doll ("Salem Blondie") for the Modified Dolls Oregon Chapter.
