Honoring the Dead

I don't care what people think, nobody has a right to start wars, to continue to use money that should be targeted for education and food and science, for drones and other death tools that indiscriminately rob life.

(SACRAMENTO, CA) - Tim King as a Marine Pfc, 1982, Southern California On a day we are to celebrate and honor our war dead, I feel sadness and grief and want to ask many unavoidable questions. For the Marines in the WWII island campaigns, and the U.S. Army's war against Hitler, I see justice.

Protected by Guilt and Fear

If one accepts the vocalizing of Abe Foxman of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Americans, like Germans, should feel constant guilt for anti-Semitism.

Most of us are very proud of our military. We should be. Without our armed forces we would not be the free country we are today.

Thoughts as Memorial Day Approaches

Maybe it is worth considering a tally-board to track which politicians cast votes against legislation considered to be potentially beneficial to our veterans.

(HARRISVILLE, N.H.) - U.S. soldier welcomed off the plane from Iraq As Memorial Day approaches every year I try to give considerable thought and consciousness to those who have given so much to our country.

I try to think of what I can possibly say to help make my fellow countrymen fully aware of the many sacrifices made by those who have placed themselves in harm’s way for the benefit of all.

Admiral Joe Sestak for U.S. Senate

Admiral Sestak always supported our veterans when he was in Congress, and we need him now in the U.S. Senate.

(MEDIA, PA) - Admiral Joe Sestak When Admiral Joe Sestak declared he would be running for the U.S. Senate this week, I was happy to hear it.

This is primarily because of one reason: he will take care of the veterans our Senators and Congressmen voted to send them to war in Iraq and Afghanistan.
