UK MP and Israel Critic David Ward is Suspended from Party

Israel lobby draws the ‘red lines’ and dictates ‘precise terms’ for future Liberal Democrat debate, apparently.

(LONDON) - David Ward Back in January the Liberal Democrat leadership threw a mighty wobbly when MP David Ward made this remark on his website:

"I am saddened that the Jews, who suffered unbelievable levels of persecution during the Holocaust, could within a few years of liberation from the death camps be inflicting atrocities on Palestinians in the new State of Israel and continue to do so on a daily basis in the West Bank and Gaza."

Israel Lobby Tries (And Fails) to Intimidate Another UK MP

If there is such a thing as a Palestinian holocaust it is a slow motion one.

(LONDON) - Colchester: MP Sir Bob Russell The word 'holocaust' is centuries old and has several meanings, one being "any mass slaughter or reckless destruction of life". For those interested in the figures, Israel's B'Tselem shows that between year 2000 and the start of Israel’s ‘Cast Lead’ assault on Gaza in 2008 the Israelis’ vast standing army, equipped with the most advanced American-funded weaponry, killed 4,790 Palestinian civilians in their homeland.

Of these, 952 were children. Yes, 952 young Palestinian lives horribly snuffed out and their parents left desolated.

Thein Sein needs to move from piecemeal changes of atmosphere to substantive reforms of the system that lead to respect for human rights and a genuine peace in the country.

(LONDON) - Myanmar President Thein Sein Tomorrow, Burma’s President Thein Sein will arrive in London. Until a year ago, the idea of a Burmese General with blood on his hands making an official visit to the United Kingdom would have been inconceivable. His visit is a sign of how much and how fast not only Burma, but British Government attitudes towards Burma’s regime, have changed.

In the past two years, President Thein Sein’s Government has certainly introduced reforms that have changed the atmosphere and landscape significantly.

Archbishop Makes False Start in Holy Land

Long-suffering Gaza and Bethlehem communities ignored - “no effort to go to the heart of the issues”

(LONDON) - Justin Welby caricature Before he left for the Holy Land I telephoned Justin Welby’s office for details of his first visit as the new Archbishop of Canterbury, only to be told none were available in advance. So I emailed a list of questions….

When there was no reply and it became obvious he wasn't going to Gaza I sent a second email: "It seems that the Archbishop will not be visiting Gaza in spite of the desperate plight of the Christian community and their Muslim brothers and sisters. Was he prevented by the Israelis from including Gaza on his itinerary?

Tamils for Obama to PM Cameron: Acknowledge Britain`s Colonial Error

Tamils for Obama hopes that Cameron will admit Great Britain erred in making a single Ceylonese country.

(NEW YORK CITY) - Former palace of the last Tamil king Tamils for Obama told UK PM David Cameron they believe that the British made a serious error in leaving one (rather than two) former colonies behind in Ceylon.

"We would be grateful if a prominent and significant Brit--such as yourself--were to publicly and for the record acknowledge that it would have been more proper, wise, and foresightful to have restored an independent Tamil state in the northeast of Ceylon. We think this will help to frame the future debate about a Tamil homeland."
