Beaverton‏ Bar Fight Lands Seven in Jail

The fight started when a man's wife who was singing karaoke, was insulted and slapped on the rear by another patron.

(BEAVERTON, Ore.) - Clockwise from top left: Wilson Rivas, Javier Abarca, Juan Zambranos and Miguel Hernandez Deputies in Washington County were called to the Azteca Restaurant in Beaverton early this morning on a fight involving patrons and security. Seven people were arrested and two were taken to area hospitals, according to Sheriff's Office spokesman Sgt. David Thompson.

He says that the report came in at 2:19 a.m. about a large group of people fighting at the Azteca restaurant on SW Beaverton Hillsdale Highway.

Sentencing in Charles Lynch California Medical Marijuana Case Delayed

A case we have been following for months; Charles Lynch faces prison even though he didn't violate state law.

(LOS ANGELES) - Charles Lynch on the Los Angeles Federal Courthouse steps Sentencing in the case of Morro Bay, California medical marijuana dispensary owner Charles Lynch, has been delayed in a Los Angeles Federal Court.

Lynch, who is 47, was pursued by a California Sheriff as part of an alleged personal vendetta. In fact, local law enforcement reportedly used the name of a convicted child molester also named Charles Lynch, to confuse people and turn them against the legal dispensary, in the course of their investigation.

American Sea Captain Escapes Pirates and is Safe

U.S. politicians and media pundits remain intent on claiming that the Somali's aren't pirates, as they plunder riches from innocent people in ships on the high seas and kidnap captains in lifeboats.

(MOMBASA, Kenya) - Captain Richard Phillips Captain Richard Phillips is a free man. He's the ship captain who was kidnapped last week by Somali pirates. Three of the teenage pirates who were holding Phillips in a lifeboat were killed and a fourth was captured.

Phillips reportedly escaped after jumping overboard. According to CNN, the rescue operation was conducted while one pirate was aboard the USS Bainbridge for negotiations on Phillips' release.

Following an amok, the perpetrator is often confused and amnesic, and if not apprehended or killed, may commit suicide.

(BURLINGTON, Vt.) - Clockwise from top left; McLendon, Mixon, Stewart and Kreschmer Kerby Revelus decapitated one of his sisters, stabbed another to death, and injured a third. Robert Stewart slaughtered eight people in a nursing home, and wounded another three.

In the days leading up to the massacre of four police officers, Lovelle Mixon told relatives that he felt depressed and angry, an uncle noticing that he was emotionally withdrawn.

OSP Fish & Wildlife troopers cite hunters Northwest of Roseburg.

(ROSEBURG, Ore.) - Senior Trooper Frerichs at location of concealed dead elk courtesy: Oregon State Police Oregon State Police (OSP) Fish & Wildlife Division troopers cited three men and a juvenile male all from Springfield on Saturday afternoon when a field contact led to the discovery of three illegally killed cow elk northwest of Roseburg.

On March 28th 2009 at approximately 3:00 p.m. OSP Senior Troopers Wayne Merritt and Don Frerichs were patrolling the Bateman Ridge area near Tyee about 20 miles northwest of Roseburg.

President Used Marijuana but Mocks & Dismisses Legalization

A former marijuana user; Obama says there will be no quarter for the herb under his reign.

(EUGENE, Ore.) - Salem-News.com So... Mr. Obama doesn't think that legalizing cannabis (marijuana) is a good idea and we aren't going to go there? Huh. I can't say as I'm shocked. I will say that I am disappointed.

As a former pot smoker himself, the President should realize that while his pot smoking didn't disqualify him as a candidate for the highest office in the land, a conviction surely would have.

It was exciting to see that several of the most popular submissions were questioning the economic wisdom of continuing the drug war, and specifically the war on marijuana consumers, in these tough economic times.
