Enter the Chameleon
Jafar M Ramini Salem-News.com
He smiles, nods, speaks and becomes whatever his audience craves. Now don't they feel better.
(LONDON) -
The stage is set, the venue is the UN General Assembly, New York and the audience is in place, awaiting the appearance of the star performer, Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel.
The chameleon came dressed in the colours of the United States of America. After all, he was speaking in New York and he employed local American idioms and colloquialisms to deliver what was without doubt a brilliant exhibition of showmanship in full Technicolor. All that was missing were the violins.

The Gaza Medical Aid Scandal: Suffer, little children....
Stuart Littlewood Salem-News.com
What do our clueless politicians care?
(LONDON) -
The indifference shown by Messrs Obama and Cameron to the slaughter and unimaginable destruction that Israel – the self-styled “only democracy in the Middle East” with “the most moral army in the world” – inflicted on Gaza a month ago is beyond sickening.
In the UK a petition was raised requesting the 'Argus', a fully-fitted hospital ship of the Royal Navy be sent to aid Gaza, as it is apparently lying at Falmouth apparently doing nothing.

Is Dissolving the Palestinian Authority an Essential Next Step?
Alan Hart Salem-News.com
Justice for the Palestinians is not on Zionism's agenda.
(LONDON) -
The Obama administration or those who write its scripts must think that all of us who support the Palestinian claim for justice are stupid.
It described Palestinian Authority President Abbas's statement (during his speech to the UN General Assembly) that Israel's last war on the Gaza Strip was a "genocidal crime" as "offensive and provocative" and one that "undermined peace efforts." Peace efforts? There are no peace efforts to be undermined!

WHAT PRICE TREASON?
Jafar M Ramini Salem-News.com
Treason: The betraying of one’s country...
Oxford English Dictionary
(LONDON) -
I am not in the character assassination business. Nor am I prone to use emotive words and headlines to score a point, but when one’s country and the future of generations of Palestinians are at stake -- one should not be bashful.
I shall lay before you the facts, not the myriad of betrayals of our people and just cause for the last 100 years, but merely the last 20 years or so that you can see and judge for yourselves whether the accusation of treason that I am throwing at the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah is justified.

Israel: Thousands Coerced Into Leaving the Country
Sudanese, Eritreans Seeking Protection Faced With Indefinite Detention
(SALEM, Ore.) -
Israeli authorities have unlawfully coerced almost 7,000 Eritrean and Sudanese nationals into returning to their home countries where they risk serious abuse, Human Rights Watch said in a report released Tuesday. Some returning Sudanese have faced torture, arbitrary detention, and treason charges in Sudan for setting foot in Israel, while returning Eritreans also face a serious risk of abuse.
The 83-page report, “‘Make Their Lives Miserable:’ Israel’s Coercion of Eritrean and Sudanese Asylum Seekers to Leave Israel,” documents how Israel’s convoluted legal rules thwart Eritrean and Sudanese asylum seekers’ attempts to secure protection under Israeli and international law.

Moral Bankruptcy
Jafar M Ramini Salem-News.com
The abusive behavior applauds the perpetrator of land theft and crimes against humanity, and demonizes the victims.
(LONDON) -
The August that marked the 100th anniversary of the First World War, the one they called ‘The War To End All Wars’ is over. We are in autumn or The Fall as Americans call it. Well named for us, the Arabs, because in 1916 in our quest for freedom from the Ottomans we fell, hook line and sinker, for false promises and lies of Britain and its allies and joined the war.
Yet, not only did that war fail to fulfill any of our dreams and aspirations for the Arabs, especially us, the Palestinians it was and is and will continue to be an unmitigated disaster for generations to come.

(GAZA, Palestine) -
It's the old habits, traditions, of the children in the feast that led the 10-year-old child Ibrahim Dawawsa to go to the Amusement Park for playing and laughing with kids.
It was the first time for his father to try to prevent him go out because of the war, but in vain. Ibrahim and his friends were happily playing on the swing, but it seemed the Israeli drones did not like it.
