Portland Meadows BBQ Championship and Live Racing Event Set

The two day event is suitable for all ages and is a family friendly.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Portland Meadows will be hosting the second annual Portland Meadows BBQ Championship on Saturday August 16 and Sunday August 17 in the infield of the racetrack.

The event is being held in conjunction with a special single day of live racing on Sunday August 17.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - As a result of numerous discussions with the stakeholders in the horse racing industry, a move back to an October start date has been chosen to maximize the horse population available to Portland Meadows.

The 2014-2015 race meet will cover 36 live race dates -- pending Oregon Racing Commission approval -- with racing on Sunday and Wednesday afternoons.
